After growing at 12% over the last five years, Camelot (the organisers of the UK National Lottery) has just reported it’s best year of lottery ticket sales. And all this during a deep recession!
In the period between 31 March 2008 and 31 March 2009 ticket sales expanded to £5.1 Million (GBP) which is £182 Million more than the year previous.
According to Camelot, much of this was put down to massive Euro Millions rollover jackpots and people playing the lottery from their mobile phones and via the Internet, which is all good news for e-Lottery affiliates.
